My name is Mehrnaz pakdel; A 36 year-old Iranian artist currently living in Turkey.

My approach to art is rooted in an exploration of my contradictory existence as a middle-eastern woman in the contemporary era with little regards to restrictive preconceptions.

I practice Acrylic Pour where I use my background knowledge of colors and painting and then stay fully open to endless possibilities as colors reflect their individual aesthetics as well as a wholistic image. This kind of art is perceptive depending on what an individual viewer brings to work.
